Connecting Indonesian Artists with Europe

The Niluh Swati Indonesian Art Program (NSIAP) is an independent curatorial and cultural platform based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Founded by Niluh Swati, NSIAP is dedicated to introducing Indonesian contemporary art to international audiences through exhibitions, cultural collaborations, educational initiatives, media publications, and creative partnerships.

Serving as a bridge between Indonesia and Europe, NSIAP connects Indonesian artists with collectors, galleries, museums, cultural institutions, businesses, and communities while creating meaningful opportunities for long-term international collaboration and cultural exchange.

OUR STORY

NSIAP was established in response to a growing demand from Indonesian artists seeking opportunities to present their work internationally.

In early 2026, educational art content created by Niluh Swati reached more than 13 million views across digital platforms. As public interest continued to grow, one question was consistently asked by artists throughout Indonesia:

"How can we exhibit our artwork in Germany and Europe?"

This recurring question became the inspiration behind the creation of NSIAP—a platform based directly in Germany, dedicated to opening international pathways for Indonesian artists.

Today, NSIAP represents a growing community of talented Indonesian contemporary artists who participate in international exhibitions while continuing to develop future collaborations throughout Europe.

OUR MISSION

Creating access, opportunities, and global collaborations for local artists.
The artworks featured on this Instagram account have been contributed by participating artists and represent the rich cultural heritage, traditions, creativity, and diversity of Indonesia. Through different artistic perspectives, these works reflect the spirit, identity, and beauty of Indonesian culture while introducing it to a global audience.

NSIAP is committed to:

  • Introducing contemporary Indonesian art to international audiences.
  • Creating opportunities for cultural collaboration between Indonesia and Europe.
  • Supporting Indonesian artists in accessing international markets.
  • Strengthening cultural relationships between Indonesia, Germany, and Europe.
  • Building meaningful partnerships between artists, cultural institutions, collectors, businesses, and creative communities.

OUR VISION

Elevating Indonesian Artists to the International Level.
We believe that art has the power to connect cultures, inspire dialogue, and create lasting international relationships. Through exhibitions, collaborations, educational programs, and cultural initiatives, NSIAP strives to create sustainable opportunities for Indonesian artists while fostering greater cultural understanding between Indonesia and Europe. Our vision extends beyond organizing exhibitions. We aim to establish a long-term international platform that supports artistic exchange, professional development, and meaningful partnerships for future generations of artists.
